I came to Prague from a small village in southeastern Moravia. Prague alone felt like a whole new world. And then shibari came into my life.
I encountered it for the first time shortly after moving. I saw a performance and it hit me. The beauty of the female body in rope, the aesthetics, the surrender and connection between two people. Something that is hard to put into words.
It was the first time I had seen shibari in person. And I knew right away that I wanted to try it. After some time gathering courage, I tried it myself at a jam in the studio. I was terrible at it and told myself it wasn't for me. But over time I found myself drawn to it more and more, until it completely took over.
I started learning. The most formative influence was Soptík from Subspace studio, whose workshops shaped me not only technically but above all in understanding what shibari truly is. Gradually I began attending workshops abroad and shibari led me to photography. That path brought me to Milan, where I attended a kinbaku photography workshop led by Sugiura Norio, one of the most renowned photographers in this genre.
I started performing, teaching and collaborating with people for whom shibari is both an art and a practice. Behind me are performances at the Erotic Fair, Tattoo Convention, On The Edge and many other events across the Czech Republic and abroad, including Bangkok.
Over time I developed my own approach. It is grounded in conscious touch, deep experience and emotion. I look for perfection in imperfection. Every woman is beautiful in rope and aesthetics are a natural part of every collaboration. Every session, shoot, performance or lesson is different — I always adapt to the person and the situation.
Recently I completed a foundational tantra course and began exploring conscious touch as a discipline in its own right. Not to add another technique, but to learn how to be more fully present and more attuned to the other person. Tantra gave me tools to bring genuine attention, stillness and intention into every touch. So that touch is not just part of the tying, but its very essence. I am also interested in body manipulation and working with the body, which I bring into my shibari practice.
